Our Philosophy
At Fassona Beef I believe in providing our customers with wholesome, healthy and delicious beef. Fassona Beef is a family farm. We are not certified organic, but we use no antibiotics or hormones on our animals. Our animals are fed according to the traditional Piemontese diet I have learned from my grandfather and other breeder friends. Piemontese or Fassona is a double muscled breed, which allows for a less fatty carcass, with more tender, yet fat free meat. In cooking it should be treated gently.

Traditions
Since I am from a traditional Piemontese family which has always raised this breed, I believe that Piemontese beef, which we call "Fassona" in our dialect, is also healthier for beef eaters and our raising methods are better for the environment. Piemontese is a breed with much less intermuscular fat than others, but traditionally considered higher in nutrients with a richer and more complex flavor.
